37th Annual meeting of the ANPOCS have participation of CEM researchers

CEM researchers will participate in the Annual Meeting of the National Association of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Social Sciences (ANPOCS), which will be held in the city of Águas de Lindóia, from September 23 to 27, 2013.

As for the Postgraduate Research Symposiums (SPG), the meeting counts with the coordination of José Leon Szwako (CEBRAP) in SPG04 State in movement: socio-State interactions, incorporation of demands and its institutional impact on contemporary Brazil. Wagner de Melo Romão (UNESP), also a postdoctoral candidate at CEM, will coordinate SPG12 Participative institutions: their effectiveness as an issue. 

In the Thematic Symposiums (ST), two CEM researchers will participate in ST08 Political parties and party systems, 1st session: Ricardo Ceneviva (CEBRAP), Lara Mesquita Ramos (UERJ) and another author with the paper (0579-1) Parties and coalitions: an explorative analysis of party coordination in simultaneous elections. Ceneviva will also participate in ST13 Metamorphosis within the contemporary rural (0461-1) with the paper (co-authored by two other researchers) Land reform and land occupations in Brazil.  CEM researcher Gabriel de Santis Feltran (UFSCar) will act as a debater on ST15 On peripheries: new conflicts in the public space during its first session Peripheries I: Religiousness, Politics and Drugs. Coordinated by Sandra Cristina Gomes (UFRN) and Telma Maria Gonçalves Menicucci (UFMG), ST37 Public policies and welfare in the XXI century: institutional arrangements, politics, rights and development will have in its 1st Session State, governance and implementation of social welfare policies, with Marta Arretche (USP) as the debater on the paper Government, political actors and governance In the production of Brazilian built environment (0453-1) by Eduardo Cesar Leão Marques (CEM).

The Discussion Tables (MR) also counts with participations by CEM researchers. MR04 - Class, race, gender, sexuality and its intersections will be coordinated by Antonio Sérgio Guimarães (USP), who will also present alongside other researchers, including here Helena Hirata, (CNRS). Nadya Araujo Guimarães (USP) presents in MR10 – Bottlenecks and challenges to maintain inequality decline in Brazil, alongside other researchers. Gabriela Spanghero Lotta (UFABC) will present in Forum FR03 – Democracy, Bureaucracy and Development during its 2º session: Bureaucracy and public policy implementation: from “street level” to meso bureaucracy.
