The "What produces violence" course is part of the project "Tackling Violence in Latin America" and will be held between August and November, 2017 in São Paulo. Partnership between CMS and the British Council. Enrollment closed.

Institutional video about the course. "What causes violence?" aims to qualify the understanding of the causes of violence in Latin America through the exchange of experiences between researchers and professionals directly linked to this debate, including representatives of the executive, legislative, justice and social protection systems, public and private security, social movements, journalists, civil society, educators, health professionals and assistance, among others.

This is the first in a series of seven documentary videos produced for the project Tackling Violence | Rethinking Violence in Latin America, which seeks to promote a deeper understanding of the causes of violence among the general public and agents involved, promoting innovative institutional practices and more effective coping strategies. To this end, it intends to disseminate relevant scholarly works as well as listen to those most directly affected by the violence.
