Entretempos na 36a mostraThe Festival takes place in many theaters in the city of Sao Paulo between October 19 and November 1st 2012.

Entretempos was filmed in Cidade Tiradentes, neighborhood of periphery side of Sao Paulo, between 2006 and 2011.

The documentary aims to recover, in a poetic way, the trajectory of the collective members of the Association of Mutirão Paulo Freire, which in the course of ten years built, in a system of self-managed collective effort, in partnership with an NGO, a housing estate for hundred families in Cidade Tiradentes, in the east side of Sao Paulo.

To develop the housing project and monitor its performance, the Association, affiliated with the Movement of Landless East 1, had the support of the advisory of the Usina (Work Center for Ambient Inhabited ).

The narrative follows the long process of construction of the building, from obtaining the land to the housing, showing the difficulties encountered along the way, particularly with the public authorities, and pausing on the trajectories of some characters. The action is dramatically focused on a set familiarly called Paulo Freire, the result of bold architectural project designed by the team of architects of Usina, in partnership with the Association.

The exposition of the experience lived by the collective members has as background the transformations in Brazilian society since the end of the 80s until today.
