The course is being taught by Carlos A. Costa Ribeiro, professor of the UERJ’s Institute of Social and Political Studies exclusively (internal) for CMS and other institutions' researchers. Designed in two parts, discusses in the Introduction, "Dimensions of stratification" and in the second part, "Classes, Occupations, Prestige, and Socioeconomic Status."

The course takes place in five sessions at Centre for Metropolitan Studies and at University of São Paulo.
