The book “The Politics of Incremental Progressivism: Governments, Governances and Urban Policy Changes in São Paulo”, organized by Eduardo Marques, director of the Center for Metropolis Studies (CEM-Cepid/Fapesp) and professor at the Department of Political Science (DCP) from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP), has just been released by Wiley Editora in the prestigious series of books Series in Urban and Social Change (SUSC) linked to the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research (IJURR), one of the largest international journals with regard to urban research.

From the comparative analysis of the trajectory of 30 of the most relevant programs of the period, the publication develops a new theoretical and methodological discussion for the study of cities that seeks to unite the knowledge, concepts and methodologies applied by urban studies and by Political Science.
