Seminário internacional - Metropolis and Inequalities
CEM realizou evento internacional sobre a desigualdade em contextos metropolitanos nos dias 25 e 26 de março de 2010, em sua sede, em São Paulo.
O seminário Metropolis and Inequalities discutiu temas como mercado de trabalho, políticas públicas, comportamento eleitoral, ações afirmativas e formas de sociabilidade na metrópole. Além de pesquisadores do CEM, estiveram presentes cientistas sociais de Princeton, Brown e das Universidades de Edinburgo, Warwick e do Sul da Califórnia.
As sessões do seminário ocorreram na sede do CEM, na Vila Mariana, com apresentações e discussões em inglês.
O CEM é um Cepid (Centro de Pesquisa, Inovação e Difusão), financiado pela Fapesp (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo), e um INCT (Instituto Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia), financiado pela Fapesp e pelo CNPq (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico), entre outros órgãos de amparo à pesquisa.
