This tool has been especially developed by the Center for Metropolitan Studies (CEM) in order to present the results of opinion polls on the Evaluation of Governors (in 10 states) and Presidents of the Republic. This project provides free access to researchers and the public information from opinion polls by two research institutes: Ibope (Evaluation and Approval) and Datafolha (Evaluation). In the case of Ibope, the data refer to Presidents from 2000 to 2016, and Datafolha from 1992 to 2016.

Regarding Governors, information is available for the following states: Bahia, Ceará, Federal District, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pernambuco, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and São Paulo (from 1996 to 2016). Economic activity indicators are also available, so the user can associate the performance of the economy to the level of citizen satisfaction.

The tool is presented in such a way as to provide clear access and understanding for the visitor, using tools from the social sciences, statistics, and computer science. By means of this tool, the Center for Metropolitan Studies aims at making available information regarding one of CEM’s current research lines, namely electoral behavior. The tool allows visitors to download the data.
