Update of Electoral database

CEM makes available new and expanded dataset with the Brazilian elections results from 1994 to 2010. Access is free.

The database has the results of elections for president, governors, senators, congressmen and the city council representatives of all municipalities in the country. The data are available in both forms: as absolute number of votes or as a proportional, calculated by totaling the attendance of each election. All the datasets have a codebook with information about the variables and a file with the cartographic database of cities in the country and also a chart with the Brazilian political parties in the period (1994 and 2010).

The dataset can be accessed directly from CEM’s website or at the Transference area and offers in addition to the data relating to the Election subjetct information about: Demography, Inequality, Territorial Division, Education, Companies, Public Places and Health.
