Interactives

Interactive Systems developed by Centro for Metropolitan Studies

Interactive sites use data and search methods used at the CEM

Researchers from the Center for Metropolis Studies (CEM/CEPID) have developed a series of interactive hotsites and a Simulator online. These interactive sites, linked to the main site, are platforms that rely on data often collected and systematized by researchers of the Center and linked to the lines of research in progress.

New tool developed by CEM - Evaluation of Governors and Presidents of the Republic

This tool has been especially developed by the Center for Metropolitan Studies (CEM) to present the results of opinion polls on the Evaluation of Governors (in 10 states) and Presidents of the Republic. This project provides free access to researchers and the public information from opinion polls from two research institutes: Ibope (Evaluation and Approval) and Datafolha (Evaluation). All data updated until 2016. CEM hotsite can be accessed here: http://centrodametropole.org.br/avaliacao

An agent-based model to understand the effect of interactions on the distribution of educational resources

Researcher Davoud Taghawi-Nejad (former fellow post-doc at CEM/CEPID) created an online simulator which deals with information to policy makers with web-based policy simulations. In addition to the simulation tool, the researcher incorporated supporting documentation to test policies which intend to increase equality of service distribution in education. This website brings an Agent-Based Model (ABM) that simulates the education spending on the national, state and municipal levels. Center for Metropolitan Studies offers app on Schools

A fully online tool has been specially created so that users may learn about the many aspects of the city's schools. The main idea is to allow anyone to learn more about the city’s elementary and middle schools using research developed with the knowledge of the social sciences, geoprocessing, demography, statistics, and programming.
